Heart for Ipswich is a recently established project aimed at enabling Christians from many churches to work together more closely to help meet the social and spiritual needs of the people of Ipswich, and to proclaim the good news of the Gospel.

It is run on a voluntary basis by a small team of lay people and supported by a Council of Reference containing church leaders from a number of local churches.

Network Ipswich is one of several initiatives planned or supported over the longer term by Heart for Ipswich. These will be headlined in the Network Ipswich news pages, or you can find out more at heart4ipswich.org.uk

Margaret Condick, speaking on behalf of Churches Together in Suffolk, says “We are delighted to hear of the work being done to set up Network Ipswich. For a long time we have hoped that all the churches, and the Christian communities and organisations, could reach out with united Christian witness to the people of Ipswich. This project will help this to happen.”

What is Network Ipswich?

Network Ipswich is a portal website set up to help improve communications between Christians in and around Ipswich. It is linked to the national Network Churches initiative and has been set up under the auspices of Heart for Ipswich.

The website aims to provide latest news of Christian activities in the town, whether run by churches or the various cross-church organisations which serve our community, and is a key source of local information. Regular email newsletters are also sent to those who wish to be kept informed of matters for prayer and upcoming events.

Services for churches and other organisations

In addition, we can offer various free services to churches and other Christian organizations. For example:-

  • The site contains a church directory where a dedicated page can give a brief introduction to your church, together with a link to the church website; and a similar project directory for all cross-church Christian projects or organizations.
  • We can also offer to help you publicize any news you have on the website news page, or events or training you are holding which may be of interest to the wider church community, which will be held in the website calendar.

Network Ipswich also incorporates the contact services of "Ipswich in Prayer", and you can pass on any matters for prayer to the co-ordinator.

Please see the "Contact Us" page to follow up these services.

Finally, there is a section on the website for you to give your comments on any matter raised, subject to certain rules. To see the guidelines for the forum, please click here.
