Local band produces new song for Christmas

A new music group called Amazi, all local to Suffolk, have produced two songs ,"Christmas Angel" and "Amazing Grace", with all proceeds going to the RSVP trust.

Local musician, Roger Eyre, who is one of the band, said “We're raising money for RSVP's clean water projects.   The songs are doing well on Amazon and itunes for the genre “Christian and Gospel”.

Fellow band member, Hil Jennings, said “Local girl, Sophie Ellis, who had been an RSVP supporter, lost her life to cancer just over a year ago and the new song 'Christmas Angel' has been recorded in her memory. Her parents established a well-digging fund called 'Sophie's well' and we just wanted to continue getting clean water to more communities without it. I had been to Rwanda in 1999 with RSVP and had been looking for a way to use music as a tool to perhaps improve the lives of some of the world's poorest people."

"Alison Fenning from RSVP also supports work for women with addiction issues in Ipswich. So as well as fundraising for clean water, I hope we'll able to back that work at some stage.”

The songs can be heard on the RSVP website at http://www.rsvptrust.co.uk/christmasangel/

They can be bought as an MP3 download for 79p, or as a CD for £5 from the website, or from itunes or Amazon via the links below.
