Changing faces at CYM

ChrisSeagarChris Seager is off to Nottingham to take a degree in Youth & Community Work with Applied Theology. This is a three year course and he has a placement at Ruddington Baptist Church for two days a week. We are sorry to see him go, he has done a terrific job leading African Adventure these past months. Chris, feeling God call him to youth work, came to CYM initially for a GAP year. It has been a privilege to see him grow, he is a gifted guy and will be an asset where-ever God takes him. His fiancée, Julia, is also studying at Nottingham and they plan to marry next summer. We pray that they will know God’s favour for their future.

Welcome to Bob Molton New CEO who joins CYM on Wednesday 8th September. We are so looking forward to Bob starting and he will be busy getting to know the staff and the intricacies of CYM. Please continue to pray for them as a family, this is a big move to a new area; home; schools and work place. We are sure you will make them welcome as they get to know people and discover the wonders of Suffolk. Meet Bob at the Commissioning Service Sunday 8pm Evening 3rd October at Colchester Road New Baptist Church.

Welcome to Kirsty McGhee who has just joined CYM to take over the role of African Adventure Senior Instructor from Chris. We are delighted to have Kirsty as part of the team; she has already been 3 weeks at African Adventure ‘learning the ropes’ no pun intended! Kirsty is welsh (lovely accent) and comes to us from Cardiff where she completed a Theology degree. She already has links with Africa, where last year she was part of a team working in Malawi and is leading a small team this summer. Please pray for her as she settles into sunny Suffolk; this less hilly but definitely much drier part of the country!

Formation GAP Year. We have three guys coming for September, but more are needed, especially girls—could God be calling you? It is not too late to apply, so do talk to Sarah, Training & Development Co-ordinator. Please pray for more young people to apply.
