Prayer topics for July

It is almost high summer and many are thinking of holidays and relaxing.

Please remember even on your holidays that persistent and consistent prayer is needed. The following is urgent during the next 2 months:

James ch 5 v 16b

“The prayer of a righteous man is POWERFUL and EFFECTIVE”

Please pray for:-

· Suffolk Coastal planning team as they consider the Talitha Koum project.

· Prayer and support team - and for more volunteers and church link representatives.

· Drugs education team as they go into schools.

· For on going funding for Talitha Koum

· For the trustees of Release Ipswich-next meeting July 26th

· For the newly formed Executive Team - for their relationships with each other - and on going work

· Management team - as they put together the Operational policies for Talitha Koum

We would also appreciate your prayers for:

v Link Coffee Bar team and the Town Pastors who attend

v Clubbing generation here in Ipswich that the Town Pastors will reach this generation

v More prayers to cover the town pastors when they are out

v Effective solution for the homeless and socially excluded in Ipswich

v Those who have been called to Community Development in our Town

We continue to pray

For those in authority over us.
For our Queen and her advisers.
For our new Prime Minister David Cameron, for Nick Clegg and all in political leadership, both national and local, that they will have wisdom, humility and generosity of spirit.
For blessing on Gordon Brown and his family.
Pray that integrity and probity may be restored to Parliament and to the political life of the nation.
Pray for Christians working in the arts/media/fashion/entertainment industries, that they may be salt and light in their spheres of influence.
Pray for discernment and protection for those working in the Internet Watch Foundation. This ‘internet hotline’ is for reporting illegal online material containing words and images of child sexual abuse, criminally obscene content, and anything that incites racial hatred.
