GIRLS NEEDED! CYM Formation Gap Year

At the end of the summer term CYM will be saying goodbye to our amazing and awesome team of interns. Darrell, Duncan, Emma and Mike have contributed so much to the team and it has been great to see them grow and develop as they have given a year serving God.

CYM are looking for young people (18-25ish) who would like to give a year to serve God and willing to be stretched and challenged in their faith. The year is an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the work of CYM as well as an opportunity to explore and develop your thinking about God and children’s and youth ministry. The year really is about you discovering who you are in God and to grow and develop the gifts that God has given you. If you are considering taking a year out (especially if you are a girl!) or know of anyone who would benefit being part of the CYM year we would love to hear from you. 

 

Our training programme is also open to anyone involved in children’s and youth ministry who would like to develop their understanding of God and children’s and youth ministry. Topics covered include an introduction to children’s and youth ministry, biblical basis of mission, principles and practice of youthwork, issues in youthwork, postmodern youth culture, biblical leadership. Training is held every Wednesday as well as a week of intensive training at the beginning of each term.
