Impact Ipswich by prayer

Last month at Burlington Baptist Church, Pastor Harold Afflu led a meeting bringing together Christians from across the town to pray for Ipswich.

Those who went along were greatly encouraged by watching a Transformations film that clearly displayed God’s power when His church came together in prayer. In Fiji in 2000, great civil unrest detrimentally affected the whole area. In desperation, the churches came together to pray. Within a very short space of time the whole nation was changed. Tears of agony became tears of joy.

Pastor Harold says “God is needed in every area of our lives here in Ipswich, especially following the tragedies in 2006 which have recently been shown on national television as a drama/documentary entitled ‘Five Daughters’*. Ipswich hit the world news as a result of such terrible deeds, let us come together as one church so Ipswich can become known as a town touched and impacted today by the Living God.”

“In addition to meeting together over the coming few months for prayer, it is our hope for every street in Ipswich to be prayer walked.”

If you would like to join with those who pray specifically for Ipswich, then please come along. The next prayer meetings are on Friday 4 June, Friday 2 July and Friday 3 September, 7.30pm-9.30pm at Burlington Baptist Church.

Great Idea but could the days not be varied. I for example have a commitment every Friday
