Mobile Multi-media Classroom visits Ipswich schoolsNew Picture

A purpose built multi-media mobile classroom will be visiting five Ipswich High schools in February and March, under the “Gsus Live” programme run by Counties and local young people’s organisation CYM.

CYM staff and volunteers will be able to deliver an interactive lesson communicating the teachings of Jesus in a fun and relevant way to Yrs 7-9.

Team member, Emily Hannah, says “This is an opportunity for over 3,000 young people across Ipswich to explore for themselves what Jesus has to say about issues that are important to their lives. It will help them to examine the meaning of Jesus’ life and His teachings, and how these relate to life today”.

The project uses an interactive lesson where students meet, through film clips and emails, a fictional character dealing with issues of forgiveness, fear and rejection. The pupil gets to hear what Jesus taught about these issues, using songs, podcasts, movies, and the net, and is then asked to respond to based on what they have just heard and learnt.

Gsus Live will visit the following schools and Christians in the area are asked to pray about the visits and the opportunities that will result:-

23rd – 27th Feb                         Claydon High School
2nd – 6th March             Thurleston High School
9th – 13th March                       Chantry High School
16th – 20th March                     Copleston High School
